- Support I think the dramatic streaming clouds and the way they echo the shapes below make this photo. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 13:10, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
OpposeDespite the clouds a bit too dull light for me, sorry. The crane is also annoying and I feel like it could be cloned out well, though for a support from me this still would not suffice. --A.Savin 14:13, 26 October 2020 (UTC)- Neutral now that the crane has been removed. --A.Savin 13:15, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
Comment I guess I'm the only one who likes this. I'll leave this nomination up until probably tonight Eastern Standard Time and then withdraw if there are no supporting votes. I'm surprised, but we react differently to what we see, and that's natural. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:59, 28 October 2020 (UTC)- Support I like it, it's very dramatic. Cmao20 (talk) 11:27, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- Support Great composition and clouds. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 15:26, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- Support I'd also clone out the crane --Llez (talk) 15:47, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- Comment User:Moahim's last contribution was on September 29, so we should assume we have to take this photo as it is, at least for now, though it wouldn't be a shock if Moahim shows up. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 15:54, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- Done I have cloned out the crane, at least. --Moahim (talk) 21:02, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
- Support Daniel Case (talk) 21:10, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- Support --MZaplotnik(talk) 09:57, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose I'm not a big fan of these harsh contrasts, especially in the clouds but also on the resulting darkness of the left side. I would much prefer this composition in a soft light. --Trougnouf (talk) 10:25, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
- Comment The contrast depends on the lighting conditions, which is quite strong, but natural here and there are no clipping in the shadows, nor in the lights, and saying "like it/don't like it" is a completely subjective manifestation of individual taste. --Moahim (talk) 20:18, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
- Comment Of course it's subjective! These decisions aren't made by bots. At this point, I'm going to withdraw, because criticizing people's opinions as "subjective" is fairly meaningless and also irrelevant to FPC, whose guidelines specifically mention "wow" as a factor in voting. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:59, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose Contrast is too harsh imo. --Gnosis (talk) 00:28, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
- Comment The same, as to Trougnouf. --Moahim (talk) 20:18, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
- Weak oppose Per Gnosis, it doesn't look realistic too me and the size/detail not superb, sorry Poco a poco (talk) 13:11, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
- Comment The details in the photo are not superb, but, IMHO, quite sufficient. --Moahim (talk) 20:18, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
- Question User:Moahim, do you want to try to rescue this nomination by addressing criticisms expressed in this thread, to stave off my withdrawing the nomination as not likely to succeed? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 16:53, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for taking a look and for your votes, everybody!-- Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:59, 3 November 2020 (UTC)- Comment Withdrawing at 6x support / 3x oppose and one day before it ends anyway? --A.Savin 10:32, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
- Comment Alright, I'll rescind the withdrawal, but I don't like that people are being criticized for "subjective" opinions. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:31, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
