- Info Diamond lizardfish (Synodus synodus) found in Madeira, Portugal. This species has typically a length of 20 centimetres (7.9 in) and lives in the Atlantic Ocean, usually between 2 metres (6.6 ft) and 35 metres (115 ft) deep, in this case found at the bottom of a reef area 12 metres (39 ft) deep. There are no FPs of this family (and I just uploaded the first 2 QIs). c/u/n by me, Poco a poco (talk) 19:47, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

- Support Nice. DoF is shallow but still great considering technical challenges and in some ways I think it actually helps the photo to have only the head in focus. Cmao20 (talk) 00:30, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose merging background. JukoFF (talk) 22:51, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
- JukoFF: what do you mean with "merging background"? too bussy? what kind of background do you expect then here? Poco a poco (talk) 06:48, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose Only the animal's head is sharp. The rest are not. That is not enough for me.--Famberhorst (talk) 14:29, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
- Famberhorst: and can you explain me how to get a shot with at least f/11 (too accomplish your demand) or smaller with poor lighting condition of a living animal underwater? Just curious, this is a different world than shooting flowers in a meadow --Poco a poco (talk) 15:31, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
- Answer: I can't. I don't have to be able to. I notice the blur and I only give my opinion! In any case, you did a much better job with your photo File: Murión (Gymnothorax unicolor), Madeira, Portugal, 2019-05-31, DD 49.jpg. PS. what's wrong with my world of flowers and plants? --Famberhorst (talk) 15:46, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
Famberhorst:Nothing, but asking for a sharp fish from this POV from the head to the tail is absurd. That shows that you don't understand the challenge of this kind of shot. Poco a poco (talk) 18:39, 8 August 2020 (UTC)- Sorry, the answer wasn't respectful. I take it back. Poco a poco (talk) 12:59, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

- Weak support I would prefer if the rest of the image is sharper but the face alone is impressive especially at this angle. StellarHalo (talk) 13:01, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
