- Oppose The background is just too distracting for me ... Daniel Case (talk) 23:39, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose - In view of the discussion on standards of judging FP on the talk page, I will oppose this photo on the basis that I can't be wowed by an image that has the kind of background we see on the upper and middle right of the picture at full size. Everyone who's fine with that kind of background should prepare to be annoyed with me again, although in this case (unintentional pun), at least one other person seems to feel similarly. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:23, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- To be honest, I don't get it. A bird in his habitat with a quality that you have rarely seen here is being oposed because the background is busy or you don't like it. The colors complement good, there is no problem to make out the bird from the background (differnt colours and the background is clearly out of focus), and as said a wild animal in his habitat. I see, I will have to visit the zoo...Poco2 19:49, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- I don't like the way the bokeh looks at full size. In view of the discussion about "wow" on the talk page, I will vote against photos that don't wow me, for whatever reason. Nothing personal. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:02, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

- It is always best to place not agree comment that some "logical" reasons, remember that each person interpret his way the FP standards and I very much appreciate your comments Ikan Kekek. --The Photographer (talk) 21:18, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose I think this is overexposed -- a darker expsure would both make the background less of an influence and give more detail and colour in the feathers on the head and neck. — Julian H.✈ 07:16, 2 March 2016 (UTC)

- Comment It is a high quality image, but the darkness of the rock behind the head does unfortunately detract from the image's appeal for me. Charles (talk) 12:46, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
