- Info If at first you don't suceed, try try again. - W.E. Hickson. All by me. -- GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 10:57, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- Info If the need to crop away the tail of the other bird in the top-left, I'll try. Or I might pass it to Graphics Lab to try to remove it?? IDK. GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 10:57, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- Comment Try to use Lightroom's spot removal function... --Basotxerri (talk) 15:41, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

- Neutral like Ikan Kekek about the object in the corner. Olivier LPB (talk) 11:11, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose. Strong posterization, blurred legs, some detail are lost. The quality is far below FP IMO, sorry. Very friendly, -- George Chernilevsky talk 18:54, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
OpposeIt does appear overprocessed to me.--Peulle (talk) 21:02, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- Neutral I quite like the image and the quality issue has been fixed, but I'm still not completely sold. I'm just really going "wow!" when I see it.--Peulle (talk) 15:14, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
- Comment I would support with a crop of the top. Regards, Yann (talk) 23:02, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support - I don't think it's that I'm not seeing the things that are bugging other people; I think I'm seeing them and they just don't bother me as much, especially when I look at the photo at 300% of my laptop screen's size, which probably already makes the birds larger than life. I like the sparrows, their relationship to each other (I think they're a couple, though I can't be totally sure), their stances, their looking at the camera, and the clarity is good enough for me to continue liking the photo. Of course, all that said, it's clear that edits responsive to the criticisms in this thread would be needed for this photo to actually pass here. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:36, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
- Comment Yes, they are most likely a couple! They were both feeding mouth to mouth gently (as opposed to the violent snatching of sparrows when they fight for food), and the male had just dropped the bread chunk into the female (presumably)'s mouth right before I took the shot. GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 11:27, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
- Comment Re:everyone - Noted with thanks, I'll try to put down some fixes. I'm rather busy this week though. GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 09:07, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
- @George Chernilevsky: @Peulle: I uploaded a file comparing the feet of the birds in the picture with the ones in the .NEF (of which screenshot was taken with UFRaw). The incredibly small amount of posterization is induced by the correcting of the CA. Nevertheless, I will try to re-process the RAW file to suit the standards of the aforementioned two gentlemen. GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 10:30, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
- @George Chernilevsky: @Peulle: @Ikan Kekek: @Yann: @Basotxerri: @Olivier LPB: . Gentlemen, I have uploaded a new revision of the file with a much better crop and quoting the revision summary I wrote: "...and this version has zero sharpening. Only edit was the reduction of the CA.". Kindly review it. GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 11:21, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

- Support It's an endearing and good composition and considering you had two birdies to keep track of, I think the quality is acceptable. --Cart (talk) 13:03, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
- Comment - Good crop. I could stand to see just a touch of sharpening, if you could do it without damaging the photo in any other way, but I agree with Cart's comment. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 16:18, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose per Peulle's neutral !vote. Daniel Case (talk) 16:37, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
- Comment I think the crop has gone too far. Now there's not enough space on top. Yes I know it's a problem with the top-left dark thing, but it would be more elegant with a cut of half, removing only the darkest part of this object in the background, or a bit more, but not all. Apart from that, I agree with Ikan that a bit of sharpening would improve this last version. No vote yet, just my feeling -- Basile Morin (talk) 02:36, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Basile Morin: I'll address the issue as soon as I can. GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 03:32, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Comment @Basile Morin: I have put a bit more headspace. @Ikan Kekek: , if the crop feels a bit too wide, I'll gladly just shave off the part of the image where the corner of the photobooming-tail is. I have also added a minute bit of sharpening. @Peulle: @Daniel Case: What about now? GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 11:49, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Comment @George Chernilevsky: What about now? GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 11:50, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Comment If the sharpening is too much, I would gladly reduce it. GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 11:50, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support this version, please do not reduce the sharpening -- Basile Morin (talk) 12:20, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Comment - I'm OK with this. It's not that obvious that we're looking at a bit of another bird's tail, we just already know it. But let's see what other people think. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 12:22, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Comment If you want a version without the tail in the left corner, here it is in my dropbox for a while, yours if you want it. I don't work for Graphics Lab, but now and again I help out with edits if I feel like it. You've done a good job so far and might just need a small help with the finishing. I haven't touched anything else than the upper left. Cheers, --Cart (talk) 18:02, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Comment@W.carter: , Thanks for the edit! I'll revise the file later! GerifalteDelSabana (talk) 23:25, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
