- Question Bruce1ee, would you offer the original as an alternate nomination? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:37, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ikan Kekek Yes. I was in two minds as to which one to nominate. I'll add the original as an alternative. —Bruce1eetalk 08:43, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support I prefer the original (alternative below), but if this were the only one to choose from, I'd support it, too, so I'm supporting both. Thanks, Bruce1ee. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:14, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- Comment Although I uploaded this, I never considered it to be an image special enough to be a featured picture, primarily because the composition makes the tarmaced road too dominant in my eyes. I think I cropped the image because the original (below) does not have a standard size, and when inserted into articles has insufficient height and so looks too small, which is particularly noticeable when viewed at standard Wikipedia image size. To improve the composition it would be better to crop off some of the base, to remove some of the tarmaced road, but this would exacerbate the sizing issue. - Oppose The Dark Hedges make an attractive scene, and are highly photographed since Game of Thrones, though Commons doesn't have many images. (I do like the little dog in this photo). The lighting here is rather ordinary, and the limitations of the tiny camera sensor are apparent here. I agree also the viewpoint is a bit low. Btw, PaleCloudedWhite, the suitability for a Wikipedia page layout isn't really Commons concern, though Wikipedia FP might take that into account. -- Colin (talk) 15:20, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

- Very weak regretful oppose I do like the composition, but I also see Colin's point about how the lighting doesn't help. Daniel Case (talk) 02:43, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- Comment But if it were lit more brightly, it wouldn't be the dark hedges. :-) -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:09, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
