Altar dedicated to the Sacred Heart in the parish church of Urtijëi build in the second half of the 18th century. The three woodcarved polychromed statues of Saint Monica, Jesus and John the Baptist
  •  Comment @Charlesjsharp: , @Ikan Kekek: , @Cmao20: Thanks for your comment. Yes, that was my initial impression but cropping the bottom would take away the inferior "frame" of the altar. Besides compositional considerations, I like the rows of pews which "lead" to the altar and give a sense of devotion to the very beloved Sacred Heart and gives also a sense of space and community even if they are empty (we have corona... ;-) --Wolfgang Moroder (talk) 08:02, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
