• Thanks Colin, ;-). Yes, admittedly the dynamic range of the scene was quite huge. I don't know whether using HDR techniques might have been a better approach. I’d argue that lighting does work well at least for the central elements of the composition. I also like the chiaroscuro already mentioned by Ikan.
