Commons:Editing restrictions

From Wikimedia Commons, the free media repository

The Commons community may impose a number of different editing restrictions on users engaged in inappropriate behavior, usually through discussion at an administrator's noticeboard. Such restrictions may be revoked at the same venue by the community when the community believes that they are no longer necessary.

Users subject to restrictions should be formally notified on their user talk page when a restriction is recorded or amended here, to avoid any possible doubt that they are aware of the restrictions.

Note: this page is to assist the community with enforcement. Failure to list here does not invalidate any agreed restrictions.
