Voting has ended, and the results will show up here shortly. --Fredericknoronha (talk) 17:09, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dear all,

Announcements of results are due today (Dec 16,. 2023). As I have volunteered to help run the electoral process, the following are the results of the same as compiled by me.

Elections were to be held for six posts. Seven candidates filed their nominations. There were five clear winners, and a tie between the last two. Following is the number of votes received, in descending order:

  1. Suyash Dwivedi: Valid votes 15
  2. Shreya: Valid votes 10
  3. Ailura: Valid votes 9
  4. Irvin Sto. Tomas: Valid votes 6
  5. Aleksey a.k.a. Xelgen: Valid votes 5
  6. Kingsley Abasili: Valid votes 3
  7. Ayokanmi Oyeyemi (Kaizenify): Valid votes 3

As announced earlier, to be counted as valid, (i) voters needed to have joined the group before the call for elections went out, in September 2023 and (ii) the votes should have been cast before the close of 10 Dec 2023 (Anywhere on Earth Time -- please note, not GMT time).

The following votes were treated as invalid and not counted:

  • FOR AILURA voted by Gnangarra -- voted after deadline
  • FOR SUYASH voted by Brahmavadini -- not a group member
  • FOR SUYASH voted by Gnangarra -- voted after deadline
  • FOR SHREYA voted by Brahmavadini -- not a group member
  • FOR KINSLEY voted by Gnangarra -- voted after deadline
  • FOR AYOKANMI voted by Kautchika -- joined the group after deadline
  • FOR AYOKANMI voted by Ei'eke -- joined group after the deadline
  • FOR IRVIN voted by Gnangarra -- voted after deadline

In view of the tie for the last slow, I would pass on the decision to the new committee to decide whether they would wish to sort this out via (i) a casting vote, (ii) by taking on both onto the committee, or (iii) by any other means fair and suitable.

While I have tried to be fair and unbiased, if you feel there is some faulty procedure in place, or any discrepancy, feel free to point out the same here.

Thank you,
