Bot's tasks for which permission is being sought: i will use this bot account to use awb/jwb. right now i want to sort Category:Office of the President of Taiwan photographs into meaningful cats such as Category:William Lai in May 2022 (by identifying the word "副總統" (vice president) and the date).

Automatic or manually assisted: Automatic supervised, or manual

Edit type (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run): one time. all batch edits will be manually logged at a subpage of User:ZuoBotAWB.

Maximum edit rate (e.g. edits per minute): i dont know what control jwb has, but will be not too fast (~30/min) if possible.

  i'd definitely describe the edit as thoroughly as possible, but in this specific case i dont think Category:Office of the President of Taiwan photographs is worth mentioning in thousands of edit summaries. it's a badly named, duplicate category to be deleted. it was created by a new user who's unfamiliar with commons cat trees. there will be ~7k edits. edits marked "bot" will be least disruptive to watchlists.

also, it's run "Automatic supervised". the manual part is only making the list. i let it keep editing and i only monitor it. in case it makes an error i hit the stop button. RZuo (talk) 08:22, 6 July 2023 (UTC)

it's not used for routine cleanup (i.e. it's not Continuous, daily...), so i can only write "one time". it's used only for specific tasks, this time being sorting out Category:Office of the President of Taiwan photographs.

off the top of my head, sorting Category:Skyline of Toronto into properly named subcats (Skylines of Toronto in yyyy) could be another possible task, but i currently have no plans to do any other than the Taiwan photographs, because Commons:Categories for discussion/2023/06/Category:Office of the President of Taiwan photographs is pending.

this awb-specific bot will always be run only with permission / consensus obtained beforehand. as i said, all tasks will be logged at a subpage of User:ZuoBotAWB. RZuo (talk) 15:26, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
