Discussion

  • What classifier are you using (to prevent vandalism?? Imo we can't prevent vandalism without deploying something that checks the input before publishing them, I presume you meant "to revert vandalism" ) ? What languages you will be supporting other than English ? Commons already has a bot to welcome new users, but if you have a better solution it would be great. What kinda errors your bot can correct ? e.g. semantic error // Eatcha (talk) 12:34, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • The question I have to answer are tough but firstly I will start with Eatcha who is talking about vandalism I will protect vandalism and immediately response to vandals and I have what I will use. He also asks about what other languages I will be supporting some other language that I also love apart from English.

You also ask me about what idea is cool than the former one is by putting an vandalism warning on the user page and measure their vandalism rate to protect themselves from vandalism and for easy blocking of vandals and not just blocking users anyhow without a significant or no prove. I will correct typographical errors such as letter mistakes. Now let me answer EugeneZelenko questions which is talking about user welcoming I have said this earlier about my improvement to it which used to reply the first questionnaire. • Cool, how will you identify vandalism ? ? If I were you, I would simply get bad edits from the rollback log. Of course I will get them checked by real humans to improve the quality of the set. What's your source of problematic edits? And most importantly what's the accuracy rate ? //Eatcha (talk) 02:10, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I will identify vandalism when o contact the admin to create a code Template:Checkvandal to get vandals and Template:Vanwarn to let editors know how their vandalising Commons inorder to quickly adjust or restrain from it. When we do this we just block people anyhow and we will have great editor. Did you how many great editors will may have kicked away by mistake. If this plan is gotten I will be adding the template to pages and a new bot will at every refresh of a page. I will correct mistakes by code source which I will correct all edit at once. But when last thing when you mentioned roll back I checked your profile and o see you have a rollback right. Are you trying to promote rollbacks.

  • @Tbiw: I know you want to help this wiki. In my opinion, the best first step to help us is to withdraw this bot request. No bureaucrat in their right mind would approve this vague request. I suggest using your volunteer time for more useful things instead, like creating galleries (underrated IMO), fixing categories in files, participating in COM:VIC (I'm biased, I know), and taking some pictures and videos of your neighborhood and home cooking (do you know we have a challenge for that?). Pick the task(s) you feel you can do best, and do it whenever you want (like daily, weekly, or monthly, we don't care how frequent you want to contribute). That's the beauty of Wikimedia Commons and other sister wikis like the English Wikipedia (and perhaps all other wikis as well).
That said, I don't think I could trust you with operating a bot yet. You haven't convinced us whether this task is even viable in the first place (automating countervandalism is a hard task). The other task is already being done by our welcome bot. If you still want to push this request though, you would have to give us the source code of your bot. Otherwise, you have to prove yourself as a user first, by doing other useful things I suggested above. Thanks, pandakekok9 03:10, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
To add some words, I appreciate your eagerness to contribute. Editing is (and should be) fun. If you need some help regarding some things (like copyright, COM:VIC, countervandalism, but please don't ask me about photography, graphics, or programming/bot stuff, I'm not good at that), feel free to message me at my talk page. pandakekok9 03:20, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have heard this I have then withdraw my bot request and will now contribute normally and manually to wikimedia Commons thanks for your advise I think we will be good together auto is the only solution but manually can also prove. I declare total restraint from bot request till many years of experience. I don't have enough experience thanks for bringing me back to my senses. But we hurt me but I am now back I will try my best to contribute more to wikimedia Commons love all editors love wikimedia Commons.
