Discussion

This request is intentionally formulated openly. I am asking to be allowed to perform general file description changes with my bot. So far I have implemented general category cleanup and removal of duplicate headings from Commons:File description page regular expressions. All changes to be implemented will be tested thoroughly using an automated unit test framework (see, [1] for a recent execution) and the edit summary will always mention the type of changes that were performed. --Schlurcher (talk) 06:57, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please make test run. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:13, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Please see [2], [3], [4], [5], [6] for samples on empty categories identified. For the other changes, I chould not find any pages that met the critera. However, I wrote and will write for each replacement one or multiple unit tests and confirm that they work here as expected. See here: [7] --Schlurcher (talk) 04:42, 8 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Please see [8], [9], [10] for samples of double categories identified. I also added the Regex to the page of general fixes for wider use: [11] --Schlurcher (talk) 04:58, 8 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Looks fine for me. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:14, 8 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If there are no objection, I think task should be approved. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:20, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
