- Discussion
- Please elaborate. --Krd 08:59, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
- The objective is to generate and upload maps and diagrams based on public electoral data. Initially the idea is to work specifically with maps of previous Brazilian elections. After finishing generating and uploading all the missing maps, the idea is to start generating and uploading maps of the next elections, as they happen every two years. Other countries will be included as I study and learn about how their elections work. SBanksX (talk) 09:25, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
- How many files or uploads are intended? Please link some examples. --Krd 09:39, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
- One map of the most voted candidate by municipality in each of the 26 Brazilian states. As there are five positions (president, governor, senator, federal deputy and state deputy), there are five maps for each of the states. For the position of president and governor it is possible that there will be a second round, totaling a maximum of seven maps for each state. I intend to generate from the 1998 elections to the current, resulting in 7 maps for 26 states (ranging from 5 to 7 for each state) for 6 elections (1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018). Total: 1092 maps. I also intend to generate a diagram like this for each of the 45 American presidential elections since 1976. The maps are ready, I can upload some to demonstrate. - Please make test run. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:14, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
- Done. Could you make the bot account a confirmed user? I forgot to add the boundaries and I need to reupload. SBanksX (talk) 13:48, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
- Done. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 16:06, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
- The bot added [[2014 Brazilian election maps]] instead of [[Category:2014 Brazilian election maps]], but it has already been fixed. SBanksX (talk) 14:13, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
- Most recent uploads look OK for me, but it'll be reasonable to link to politicians Wikipedia articles (if exist). --EugeneZelenko (talk) 16:06, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
- This can only be done manually. The name of the article may not be the same as that of the politician. SBanksX (talk) 16:37, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

- Looks good to me. My only comment would be to keep the upload rate at ~5 per minute so the bot does not flood the Special:NewFiles. --Schlurcher (talk) 09:17, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
If there are no objections, I think bot status should be granted. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:53, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
