This bot is a slightly adjusted clone of User:Rotatebot (which is flagged since 2007). It rotates images from Category:Images requiring rotation by bot to clear up the backlog due to the mass fix. It will only run if needed.
Automatic or manually assisted: Automatic
Edit type (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run): Continuous
Maximum edit rate (eg edits per minute): very fast but can be slowed down by inserting pauses or adjusting the cronjob(?).
Bot flag requested: (Y/N): Y - would spam the newfiles lists otherwise and make them unusable.
Programming language(s): PHP

- In my opinion, a clone-bot (it does the same as Rotatebot does achieving it the same way just faster) does not need approval by the community. Bureaucratic nonsense... Full speed, please. -- RE rillke questions? 17:46, 20 December 2011 (UTC)

Comment The user is highly trusted, the task well-defined and non-controversial - so a bot flag should not be a problem. However a "speedy close" is perhaps not ideal. I suggest the best way to handle this would be to speedily give the bot the flag on a temporary basis without closing the Request. Then leave the Request open in the usual way to give the bot the flag permanently. I've drawn the attention of our resident bureaucrat to this Request. Rd232 (talk) 19:43, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
