Hi, I'm the operator of the bot (now corrected above too). I don't have experience on Commons, that's true, but I've been working with WMF staff on the grant mentioned above. SGill suggested that the best way to make the Balinese palm-leaf manuscripts available for editing on Wikisource is to do a batch upload of all of them, so that we can make sure that they're uploaded in a consistent way and so users working on them on Wikisource (who will not be very familiar with Commons) do not have to manually run ia-upload for each one. I'm familiar with how ia-upload typically uploads since I've been working on adding some features to it (there is a pending pull request), so using the same template for the description will be easy. --Lautgesetz (talk) 19:20, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'll use the language tag. What kind of categorization do you mean -- can you give an example? But there is almost no metadata for these manuscripts other than the title. I don't understand your question. Each manuscript is already a separate file. (Each photo is a single manuscript page.) The Internet Archive identifier for each manuscript will be cross-referenced. Sorry, I didn't grasp that all of images are related to same work. I don't think that Internet Archive identifier makes too much sense. I meant scientific classification, for example by place of origin, time, topic, etc. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:51, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
