Discussion

Test run looks OK for me. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 16:04, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, except for the fact that all images end up in Category:Protein structure. Is it possible to improve the categorization? Multichill (talk) 18:35, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think 'Protein structure' is an appropriate category for all of the images the bot is designed to upload. Additional categorization, like each protein's terminal SCOP classification, would certainly be an improvement. Ideally these categories would be added in tandem with the addition of a SCOP navigation tree above each image's summary. This would presumably be done by borrowing functionality from DonabelSDSU.
Based on their complexity and distinctness, I don't think those two paired tasks should block this bot from its planned task, which will ultimately replace several thousand images originally uploaded by ProteinBoxBot (e.g.: w:File:PBB_Protein_MMP9_image.jpg) on the English Wikipedia. To my knowledge, the proposed set of images does not have any feature regressions compared to that set of older images. Emw (talk) 01:44, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This is not blocking, just a suggestion for improvement. The name of the category should be Category:Protein structures btw. I tagged Category:Protein structure for moving. Multichill (talk) 12:57, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with that category move. I've now uploaded a few new images categorized under Category:Protein structures. Emw (talk) 16:02, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Bot should use, == {{int:filedesc}} ==, == {{int:license}} == and the ISO-Date Format, so that the language adapts to the user interface. But this should only be a minor change. And maybe the Categorys should be put under the Lizence-Code. If this is fixed the bot can imho be flaged and upload the remaining images. --Schlurcher (talk) 21:49, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There are 3 Uploads from the beginning, that should be corrected manually: File:Protein_ARL8A_PDB_1zd9.png File:Protein_EXOSC6_PDB_2nn6.png File:Protein_GINS1_PDB_2e9x.png --Schlurcher (talk) 22:00, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have adjusted the bot to use the noted internationalization standards, put 'Category' beneath 'License', and corrected the three mentioned uploads. Thank you for the suggestions. Emw (talk) 07:05, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ready to flag then. New Uploads look fine. --Schlurcher (talk) 08:53, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not seeing any issues as well. ✓ Bot approved. Kanonkas // talk // e-mail // 09:52, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
