Bot's tasks for which permission is being sought: Uses the API to search recursively through categories for music files that are not being used on enwiki. See the approved task on enwiki at en:Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/MusikBot 4. The bot has actually made several runs, as at least on enwiki to my surprise approval was not even needed given it only makes edits to the userspace. It did not occur to me I might also need approval here, as it moves at a modest speed, and takes into account maxlag errors. Essentially it's no different than a user script in that regard. However we now want to do a more comprehensive search, looping through every sub-category (recursively) of categories for the composers listed at en:List of composers by name, and not just selectively go with categories matching a certain phrase. For this I'd like to both speed it up so it won't take forever, and we might need the bot flag so it can fetch over 500 category members (see mw:API:Categorymembers). If done correctly we are looking at a one time run, and possibly repeat the task every 6 months to a year, as needed.
Automatic or manually assisted: Supervised
Edit type (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run): Multiple one-time runs (as needed)
Maximum edit rate (e.g. edits per minute): 0
Bot flag requested: (Y/N): Y
Programming language(s): Ruby

Discussion
- Please create bot user page.
- Do you plan to create reports on Commons?

- @EugeneZelenko: User page created. I have no immediate plans for the bot to report on Commons. We just need to use the API at a higher rate and without limit restrictions. — MusikAnimal talk 15:01, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
- Support. This would be very helpful for handling music files at the English Wikipedia.Anythingyouwant (talk) 16:30, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
If there are no objections, I think bot status should be granted. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:19, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
