Discussion

For files in Category:License review needed (video) and sub categories. Why we even need to automate this ? The number of file in Category:License_review_needed_(video) keeps increasing, although YouTube and Vimeo files are reviewed by a bot, but few reviewers are actually reviewing file in these categories. Video hashing will make sure that the file was available on the links. The bot supports all the sites listed here and some other generic patterns(youtube-dl based). I don't intend to review images yet (not until June, 2021). The request task is "Review videos with external URL source." And even when start reviewing images, we intend to review screenshots from videos in the beginning. -- Eatcha (talk) 18:27, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

The user-space template (User:Eatcha/lr) was used because edit-filters won't allow the bot to add Template:LicenseReview. User:Eatcha/lr is redirect to Template:LicenseReview. -- Eatcha (talk) 12:22, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
