Existence check for added categories, if necessary creation with models Template:Photographs taken on navbox / Template:France photographs taken on navbox / Template:PhotographsYearByMonth / Template:Francephotomonthyear.
COM:OVERCAT is ok : if Category:Photographs taken on 2020-01-01 and Category:January 2020 photographs, remove last.
Following this, the model Template:Taken on is managed :

  • if "cat=no", above process
  • if not "cat=no", no action

Please also elaborate why you have been unresponsive to comments on your bot's user page (ref. User talk:Gzen92Bot as well as Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/Blocks and protections) and why the community should have trust now that you will run a bot-flagged account responsibly. Hello, ok I read the page Commons:Bots (I also change the number of edits per minute of this request).
The modifications made in July 2018 ("uncategorised"), July 2019 ("video display resolution"), the last days ("categorization by dates") were made first on my files. I thought extending it to other files would not really be a problem. I realize i'm wrong, from now on I must take the time to write a request for my actions, all my excuses.
I could not answer Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/Blocks and protections yesterday, the IP used (bot and me) was blocked 24 hours. I took this day to prepare this request.

Thanks. I have a very general comment: I tought that there was a general discussion and agreement (?) that we want combined country and date categories only with a precision of Months not days. And only pictures without country information in the corresponding date category. I did find this discussion [4] which is not exacly what I remember but similar. Still it agreed on the opposite of what this bot is proposing.
As far as I see the following should not be done:
  • if day, replacement by Category:Photographs taken on 2020-01-01 / Category:France photographs taken on 2020-01-01

Ok, easy modification.
I do not understand why it should be limited to months. If there are a lot of photos, it's normal to better categorize them. Gzen92 [discuter] 17:27, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
