Discussion

Is this a bot? If yes: It should have {{Bot}} on the userpage and "Bot" in the username would be helpful too. --Steinsplitter (talk) 13:42, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In fact the contents that this account has uploaded in the past were uploaded via phabricator request (ticket), so it was not a bot sensu stricto. Now it is, so I add the template. We decided to keep the official name of the institution that donated the contents, Fundación Joaquín Díaz. Best regards Steinsplitter. Rastrojo (DES) 14:06, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please use language templates. Looks like you substituting template. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:14, 4 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Right. The template {{Fundación Joaquín Díaz-Description}} is not finished, but its development is not related to the bot, and there are still many features to be implemented on it so that we can organize and categorize these files as well as possible. The parameters are clear and fixed by the institution that provides the files. The material will be uploaded while we develop the template, a task to which everyone can contribute. Pusazul is also going to provide a detailed statistical report about the nature of the files information in a short. Thanks for your interest, EugeneZelenko.
Meanwhile, please determine whether the uploaded files and their information are right or wrong so that we can continue uploading material to Wikimedia Commons with or without a bot flag. Best regards. --abián 14:43, 6 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I think it is good idea to use even unfinished template. See also comment about language templates for parameters. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:48, 6 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Any further steps? If not, we would like to get the flag ASAP. Rastrojo (DES) 10:31, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
What do you exactly need, EugeneZelenko? Rastrojo (DES) 13:42, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please don't substitute main template.
  • Please wrap Spanish text in {{Es}}.
EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:15, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean by "don't substitute main template" EugeneZelenko? Rastrojo (DES) 14:33, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, most likely I looked to wrong place. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:41, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@EugeneZelenko: Please advise: Are there still pending objections? If not, I'd suggest to approve this task. --Krd 09:48, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think will be good idea to make small test run to check language templates. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:15, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@EugeneZelenko: ✓ Done, 12 new uploads today using language templates. --abián 19:08, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Please also wrap Name, Birthplace, Title, Performance location, Incipit fields in {{Es}}. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:17, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Why EugeneZelenko? Name, birthplace and Performance location inside {{Es}} is useless (you are Eugene Zelenko in any language, not
Español: Eugenio Zelenko
 :-)) Same for incipit. Best, Rastrojo (DES) 15:57, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but names may be different even in languages which use Latin script. Not talking about other scripts (Cyrillic, Arabic, etc). You will be very surprised to learn how my name could be transliterated from Russian and Belarusian to English :-) --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:05, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@EugeneZelenko: Although I accept that bringing "all human knowledge" to "every single person" in its own language is "our commitment", we cannot use {{Es}} template for every single parameter of {{Fundación Joaquín Díaz-Description}}. Doing so would prevent automatic categorization, which is more important than allowing the (nearly impossible) translation of people and villages proper names, and would also make a bad result because of repeating "Spanish" so many times as the number of completed parameters, often two or three in a line, for every description page. --abián 15:33, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think that'is an issue. @Krd: check if the bot is ready for the flag. Best Rastrojo (DES) 14:59, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Approved. --Krd 06:24, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
