Discussion

I think this can be run immediately and speedy approved if nothing arises within a few days. --Krd 21:25, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

But what is problem with User:Deletion Notification Bot? Why additional account is needed? --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:55, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Eatcha, the previous bot operator, is no longer active on Commons, and the original bot is no longer running for reasons I don't know. —‍Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 15:04, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think will be better to transfer account ownership and also involve back-up maintainers. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:14, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I've sent Eatcha an email requesting a transfer/shell access. —‍Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 15:35, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please advise if there is any feedback from Eatcha expectable. If the account cannot be recovered, I see no reason in not starting a new one. Krd 04:00, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have not received a response, and don't see a reason to think one is forthcoming. —‍Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 14:29, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Test edits look good. I think this should be approved if no objection arises shortly. Krd 15:39, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
How about renaming old and new accounts? --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:49, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not opposed but I don't see it to be in line with rename policy. What is the reason against having two bots doing the same job, as long as there are no collisions? --Krd 16:12, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
For what it's worth, there is at least one precedent for having two bots, one retired and one not: FlickreviewR and FlickreviewR 2. —‍Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 02:41, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Approved. --Krd 09:10, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
