Why data is copied from Wikidata instead of fetching? --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:30, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
If I understood correctly, you're referring to the the ability to reference Wikidata like the Authority Control template on English Wikipedia? Apparently we don't have support for that on Commons ([1], [2]). I don't know if it's better for us to wait for that to be implemented (it's been an idea for a few years, it seems), or to proceed without it. Opinions on that would be helpful. BMacZero (talk) 20:46, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'd prefer to directly fetch from wikidata instead of creating more redundant copies. If that is currently not supported, it should be tried to push that first. --Krd 06:25, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, I'd like to modify this request to only execute the maintenance tasks that would survive that feature:

Please make new test run. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:10, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Has an additional test run been made? If yes, please do again, preferably with a few edits of any kind. --Krd 06:50, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I just got around to doing the test today. See last ~25 edits on bot account. BMacZero (talk) 06:12, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Looks OK for me. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:21, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm closing this as approved, however I suggest to start slowly just in case there are issues not discovered yet. --Krd 17:33, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
