Photos taken by site owner Yinan Chen. Mostly landscapes of several travel destinations (North America and China): Landmarks, wildlife, landscapes, fossiles, artifacts.

• Which license tag(s) should be applied?

Author Yinan Chen says:

All photos on this site were taken by me and I have chosen to license them under the Public Domain license to form a free photos database. This means you are free to use them personally or commercially(except for photos that require a model or property release) on any project without asking for permission. Please consider giving credit to goodfreephotos.com when you use the images. Please note that any trademarked models or logos that are in these pictures do not have release authorization(such as brand name cars, etc) so you may have to obtain permission from the trademark holder for such photos.

I’d say {{PD-author}}, or {{CC-zero}}; better opinion sought.

• Is there a template that could be used on the file description pages? Do you think a special template should be created?

No, and no. File description and categorization for these seems to be trivial. An author hidden category should be created.

That's true, but it is still what these images are licensed under. We can't just invent licenses; if the source site says it's {{Cc-pd}}, then it's {{Cc-pd}} and not {{Cc-zero}}. darkweasel94 23:32, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

Looks good, congrats! But allow some remarks:

• Author: should be [http://www.goodfreephotos.com Yinan Chen], not [http://www.goodfreephotos.com www.goodfreephotos.com].
• Description: Lacking language tag; so far seems to be {{en|(description)}} in all cases. Simple to add with VFC, but still better if done by bot.
• Category: The initial Category:Images from goodfreephotos.com to check could be renamed to Category:Images from goodfreephotos.com or Category:Images from goodfreephotos.com by Yinan Chen and filled with __HIDDENCAT__ and [[Category:Photographs by photographer|Yinan Chen]], and made definitive.

OK,I will fix it when all uploaded. I dislike to break the batch at the moment. They are "only" ~3600 images. --Slick (talk) 19:01, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
