Flickr Fotostream of NOAA Photo Library[edit]
We have lots of images from NOAA (about 11'000) but aparently not all of them. Looking at this page on the Flickr Fotostream of NOAA, I couldn't find the uploaded images. All images uploaded should be PD ({{PD-USGov-NOAA}}) as they are from NOAA. Quality and description of the images is very good and most descriptions include the botanical name. - Probably Category:National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration would be the right one. Amada44 talk to me 17:04, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- Possibly I can try to upload them with Flickrripper soon, but I can't use different categories or change names (the files will be uploaded as reef0549 - Flickr - NOAA Photo Library.jpg, fish4544 - Flickr - NOAA Photo Library.jpg, etc). - I'd use Category:Images from NOAA and something like Category:Uncategorized NOAA images. From the later we can move it with cat-a-lot to more specific categories such as Category:Unidentified ships. Still can still be done now with my bot, after the initial upload. -- Docu at 14:51, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

- Note: things aren't so perfect. User:Flickr upload bot did some job already, for instance. There are some doubles, with better resolution and its watermark removed (Category:Harengula jaguana). --Chris.urs-o (talk) 11:30, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thats not the bots fault. We already had some NOAA images but there was no way to find out which ones. We can just delete them as duplicates. cheers, Amada44 talk to me 11:41, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
