Diffusing category[edit]
Are there any members of WikiProject Chicago or people interested in it here on Commmons? Chicago lags badly compared to other major cities on Commons - and at present over 2000 images just categorized "Chicago" with no better identification by time, location, or subject. (I've pecked away at some of it on occasion, but Chicago is just a place I've visited a few times years ago, and am not very familiar with.) -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 22:21, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
- I've categorized enough to drop the count in Category:Chicago to under 2000. Many images have {{Camera location}} coordinates, clues in the descriptions, or clues in the images themselves, but as you hint, they take a bit of research for those unacquainted with Chicago. -- DanielPenfield (talk) 11:38, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
