These are actually Identified Images and I have moved the Category over to Category:Unidentified maps and have begun placing a directional note on appropriate Maps of . . . pages

fine start, maybe we do Category:Maps maintenance in Category:Picture and image maintenance, including maps to convert to svg, old maps maintenance, disputed maps and so on.. --W!B: (talk) 19:32, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Sounds fine, but as in my dilemma, how do you get that information out to all the map makers and uploaders and Maps of (country)? I am placing the See Also on all the pages that contain the uncategorized images so someone may see it and go in and retrieve their missing maps. Thanks again for your support. did you know our Category:Mountain puzzle-project - maybe we could do a Map identification project - to me, the main problem about unknown information is the type of map projection used.. --W!B: (talk) 02:28, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Not sure what Map Projetion is? Also most of the mountains I placed in Category:Alps as they were labelled that way in the Catyegory:Images without categories. 80% of the images are actually labelled it's just they have not been placed in Categories so how would your idea work? I think: This is an old map of the halfpeninsula Labrador in Canada with the St.-Lorenz-stream. Right I see the island Newfundland, in the left could be the rocky mountains.
