Hi Mr. Rector, if description is correct, this church is from 19th century. All copyrights should long have expired. In addition, freedom of panorama regulations of U.K. copyright law (Commons:FOP#United_Kingdom) allow the reproduction even of copyrighted 3-dimensional works, if permanently installed in public space. Anyway, I've notified the photographer about your complaint. --Túrelio (talk) 15:50, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Since the photos were not taken by the church, there can be no claim to copyright. I took the photos, therefore the copyright for the photos remains with me. As noted above, freedom of panorama law in places open to the public allows me to take photos and publish them. I am very sorry that you do not agree with the free availability of these photos, the church is very beautiful. However, there are many hundreds, if not thousands of photos of church interiors on Commons and elsewhere, and no church can reasonably claim copyright for photos taken within it by a third party.
