Someone posted the text of a Spanish-language speech here. Such works should go on Wikisource; the commons is for media files. So for speeches, we'll have ogg files of speeches. --Zantastik 07:54, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Category:Historical speeches[edit]
what's historical? a speech today can be historical tomorrow, and will definitely be one in 100 years. i think all should be merged to simply speeches.

- Agreed. Perhaps Category:Political speeches or Category:Speeches by politicians might be more useful. Let's leave Category:Historical images for its own discussion. Themightyquill (talk) 09:02, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Roy17 and Themightyquill: I agree with upmerging Category:Historical speeches into Category:Speeches. From there they can be sorted into the various sub-cats as appropriate. Certainly, Category:Speeches by subject might be warranted here. Josh (talk) 20:43, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
