Satyrs vs. Sileni
[edit]The user DenghiùComm is of the opinion that sileni, which have horse-like instead of goat-like features, are distinct from satyrs, and so has removed them this category page. I myself am not an expert on the subject, but most sources that I am aware of consider sileni to be the original version of satyr, and on the English Wikipedia, sileni redirects to Silenus. So it would seem that the consensus of most of the editors on the English Wikipedia is that sileni are not a distinct race, and at most are a type of satyr.
Someone who is more knowledgeable than I am on the subject should help rectify this conflict of opinion. ZFT (talk) 20:23, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
