@Madboy74: I like these paler colors you have used to update these images (although they are ususual). It would be nice if you could update the rest of them, so the images will be consistent again. Currently the old and new ones do not really make sense next to each other. Greetings, Watchduck (quack) 01:54, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
- Dear Watchduck,
- It's a problem for me. If I update my old works I have no time for new COA-s. If I have free time I will continue.
- Bye,

- @Madboy74: I can do that for you. I would download the images in this set, and run a script that replaces the old hex colors with the new ones. But I would suggest to use a slightly darker gold, and a slightly lightened black. You see my proposals
on the right. What do you think. (BTW, I would have to replace the black manually, because the lines should stay as they are.) What do you think? Greetings, Watchduck (quack) 19:53, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

- I have an universal palette. I will update all of my works when I have time. If you can do it that's good and I will very happy. Please use just my palette because that images won't in harmony with the other ones. I put here the GPL but the GPL file uses Unix txt format. If you give me an address I send for you the palette file.

- I'm in a big change. I used Linux and Inkscape for 15 years and last year I begun to change them Windows and Adobe. The Adobe is the important for me because the Illustrator is very different for me. In the Illustrator I can find extra and unused parts in the old SVG files and I can remove them easily but save to SVG not perfect with the Illustrator.
- If I can use it perfectly I will make a new palette and new age for me. Maybe I will use your suggestion. My biggest problem is the color harmony. Some colors are good together but in an other combination they will bad. For example the blue shield with green parts. (I know, color on color, but in the Hungarian heraldry it's not a big problem and the color on color is common.) I made a lighter green for blue shield, because that's better. If you use an algorythm, that's wont know which color is the good. An other problem. I have a few of gold. I use darker on the borders and a different when looks better. So not easy by an algorythm but very terrible by hand.
- Sorry for my English :)

An example for the green-blue problem |

- Just to make sure that we do not misunderstand each other: I am not talking about all CoA you have ever uploaded to Commons.
- I am only talking about those I have collected in this image set. These images use the five basic colors shown on the right.
- Different shades of green (or purple etc.) in a few images (like this and this) are perfectly fine.
- I think your pale gold is just a little bit too far away from what people expect gold to look like.
- By the way: The colors you used in that crayfish image are basically those I have proposed.
- (Don't be confused by the title. This is an image set, just like this or that. Images in a set tend to have the same author, but they are not user categories.)

- @Madboy74: In this category are the images that I propose to harmonize: Category:SVG heraldic shields by Madboy74; proposed for color adjustment
- All colors would be the ones in the plain shields. (Preferably with improved gold and black.)
- What do you think? Greetings, Watchduck (quack) 22:13, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
- OK, make the changes on that images. Please give me the new palette maybe I will change mine to your. Bye, Madboy74 (talk) 17:49, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Madboy74: I have started to download them. (See here for some documentation, btw.) How do you feel about the images like File:Coa Illustration Cross Bended.svg that you have widened. I would prefer the original versions in the same shape as the others. --Watchduck (quack) 20:30, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
- Some guys made manually optimization on a few images. I wasn't happy because i have seen errors. You can download manually my versions. Madboy74 (talk) 20:37, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

- I have downloaded all images. (There were no problems except this one.) The replacement also worked fine. I left the crosses in the current shape. --Watchduck (quack) 23:37, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Madboy74: Done. I like the result. See e.g. French shield; red white or heater shield; gold red. Do you know how these saw patterns are called? --Watchduck (quack) 14:14, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
