I was recentley told that my husband would not be a good candidate for the proton therapy, his dr.is Dr.Johnny Mcminn and we appreciate him very much, but he isn't allowing cancer treatment for my husband now because his plaletes are low.He has non-hodjkins lymphoma and apparently it is spreading around the inner layer in stomach and groin area. I was just curious if he could have the proton treatment, but he says the tumors are too many? I guess I don't understand why that would be factor in treating him? My husband has had a heart transplant in 2004,he did great and has been doing great until the anti-rejection medicine has caused this cancer! He has several treatments in the last 2 years and I know they mention Hospice, but my husband is a fighter and so am I,we will not give up! I hope to hear from someone on this matter,my email is d.woolery@cox.net.We have been talking already with a cancer coach on-line and that is giving some hope,we don't have alot of money and I know that can always be a factor, because he has already missed some of his treament because of it! My phone # is 405-464-5282,please respond and give us some hope!
