Category talk:OpenStreetMap maps

There is something really going worong with this category ... The pictures (and other files) that are under subcategories (such as OpenStreetMaps by country) should not be directly visible in here... Someone messed up really bad (probably purposely/mala fide), there are far too many pictures, that are in subcategories, but are still in here, and those files can not easily be removed from here. This is NOT OK.

• This is really bad, there is a very clearly established rule in Wikimedia, and well motivated, that pictures/files in "lower" categories should not pollute/dilute the "higher" categories. But here, without any motivation, all "rules" of Wikimedia seem not relevant? When i see an "arbitrary" file on Wikimedia Commons, i get a clear message, urging me to put it in the most specific relevant subcategories and urging me to remove it from unnecsary super-categories. Both, i have done often, but here something bad/"fishy" is happening. Paulbe (talk) 22:32, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
