Aspect ratio[edit]
According to the Technical Specifications at IMDB.com, North by Northwest was shot in 1.85:1 aspect ratio, although it has been framed or squeezed for viewing on tape and digital discs in various ratios. Unless a screenshot has been cropped from a film frame, it, too, should be in 1.85:1 aspect ratio, i.e., the width should be 1.85 times the height in pixel count. —Quicksilver@ 17:56, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
