Three generations together[edit]
Having in the same category women between 18 and 59 years looks weird to me. We could have a "young woman" with her mother and her grandmother in the same category. Is this normal? We should think on creating categories for "young women", middle-age women" and so on. Thank you. --E4024 (talk) 07:54, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
- To be sure, this is a difficult problem...
- Category:Old women (60+ years)
- Category:Mature women (40–59 years) ?
- or
- Category:Mature women (45–59 years) ?
- Thanks. --Benzoyl (talk) 05:04, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
- Now under consideration, How is this? [1] --Benzoyl (talk) 05:11, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
- Better, but I certainly would like to see a category specially for "young women" (not those that "feel young" :-), for example for 18-25 years, which covers girls who are considered adult by law (in many countries) but still either studying or in the first years of a career, or recently married. They are not the same as a 38'er managing a company or with 3 kids at school. --E4024 (talk) 13:57, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- For example, Category:Old women by country
- Note: I changed my view completely, see my talk at the below section. --E4024 (talk) 08:02, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
Women-Mature women[edit]
"4. Women (18–40's) 5. Mature women (40's-59 years)"
- Please, what does the above mean? Are mature women not "women"?
- My proposal: Leave only two categories: "Girls" and "Women". Let every user to put a "female" in her 20s, for example, at "girls" category or "women" category as they wish. (Or keep a 2 year old together with teenagers, they are all girls.) In my country, a young woman studying at the university (for example at her 25 years of age, making a Master's) is considered a "girl", while another female, married with children at her 19 years of age is considered a "woman". Let's respect cultural differences. Let's not invent an unconventional standardisation. There are many women in their 60s ("old women"!) who look like young girls, even in their swimsuits... Best. --E4024 (talk) 07:57, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
- There is a scale, Category:Hwangab --Benzoyl (talk) 08:36, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
- This Category is useful in particular of "Fashion (clothing)".
I think Category:Mid-aged women - Category:Middle-aged women is better name. --Benzoyl (talk) 09:19, 19 June 2017 (UTC) --Benzoyl (talk) 10:36, 22 June 2017 (UTC)
