The permission for all of thes eimages at the dutch wiki is a "wikipedia only" permission. hence all images in these category should be deleted, unless someone takes the trouble to ask explicit permission for a use under CC-BY-SA-2.5. At the moment, I dont see such a permission, though from teh way it is worded I get the feeling that an appropriate framed question stands a good chance. There is a reference [1] on the category page that points at a comment in Dutch, translating to: "Sure... This licensing thing is getting boring. The images on my web site at http://www.postproduktie.nl/voetbal.htm can be used on Wikipedia. These are all images created by me, Paul Blank, and there is no copyright on them. Other users also have my permission to put the images on Wikipedia with the required attribution. I have very little knowledge on licenses myself, but if someone would care to license them correctly, that would make me happy." Based on this comment, I decided that cc-by-sa-2.5-nl was a very nice license for Mr. Blank. If you think this warrents removal of the images, so be it. The words can be used on Wikipedia suggest he gave his permission only for usage on wikipedia. His remark "there is no copyright" is incorrect, there is always copyright, but he can wave his rights. With all respect, I think he should be asked if he also intended permision to use them outside wikipedia. Teun Spaans 16:55, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have found a proper OTRS ticket:

. It licenses cc-by-2.5 for all 'known people and soccer players' from http://www.postproduktie.nl, with personal photographs explicitely excluded from this license. Siebrand 18:39, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To be fully correct: He did say that all the images of soccer players and celebreties can be used, if attribution is given in the thumbnail. This is practically CC-BY, so that license seems appropriate. I added the attribution in thumbnail condition to the template and the headers to the otrs-ticket. The e-mail is in Dutch, btw. My main objection was that the original permission mentioned twice "on wikipedia". If this new permission is without those remarks, it is ok. Teun Spaans 14:55, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
