Ridiculous category. There is no such thing like "a Cossack hat". This hat is "Romanian" Image:Constantin Moruzi.jpg, this hat is "Cherkessian" Image:Kubanka.jpg and this hat is "Georgian" perhaps Image:Gorskii 03945u.jpg. Cossack havent invented their own style of hats. Fur hats are very common for Eastern Europe and Caucassus, but it doesnt make them all the "Cossack hats".--Alex Tora (talk) 08:14, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
- In the German language 'Kosakenmütze' (kosak cap) means only a cap in the style like a cossack hat, a hat with a turned up brim--Kürschner (talk) 19:53, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
- Any words in other languages? In Eastern European languages fur hats (caps in the style like a cossack hat) have diferent forms and terms for its description: kuchma, kubanka, maznytsia, papaha, streimel... Calling all Eastern European fur hats 'Kosakenmütze' is the same like calling all East Asian straw hats 'Samuraimütze'. It would be much better to "dissolve" this category because of its nonsenseness.--Alex Tora (talk)

- I've asked do you know any words in other languages, not other words in German. The point is that this category is in English not German, and it includes the number of fur hats that has very far relationship to Cossacks (Romaian, Georgian, Chechen, Polish, etc. I wonder why dont you put Viking fur hats to this category. Their hats also look like a "Kosakenmützen"). Categorizing things in the way they are done now here, looks like a profanion. The metod of sorting these picture is false. As I've metioned before fur hats have various names and logicaly should be categorized in accordance to these names. - There is no problem, if you will let delete it. I saw the funny side of this discussion.
- It would been better the article had been called German Kosackenmütze. There is a German article in Commons called Kürschner (furrier), here are the different images of furs in Commons listed. Also the Cossack hats. In Germany it ist time to say good night, the --Kürschner (talk) 20:53, 3 December 2008 (UTC) (furrier).
