An Idea Categorise by Text

Hello, just an idea. If someone were looking for an icon of the letter "T" or the word "Home" at the moment they would have to search and then they would find pictures of homes and presumable model T fords etc. I am suggesting a new categorisation (for images) which would solve this problem. An icon of the letter "T" would be categorised under Category:Text:T and an icon of the word "home" would be categorised under category:Text:Home. This is not a very well formed idea, but, let me know what you think.

Layout

The page does not look well. The logo and the text cross each other. I use Windows XP Home and Firefox 1.5.0.3 Patio 06:17, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

Root is root is root

i removed {{MetaCat}}: the root is root and nothing else, but the tag puts a cat into here, so we got a circle

CommonsRoot → Commons → Commons maintenance content → Maintenance data structures → Meta categories → CommonsRoot

besides, there is still a circle: Commons → Commons maintenance content → Maintenance data structures → Meta categories → Commons, based on the same bug

i also replaced {{Sisterheader}} by its code, as it gives wrong text: CommonsRoot only exists on Commons, so include of {PAGENAME} gives wrong text: we wont miss the template

i thought about doing the same with MetaCat, but source-code of that template is much to complex: if one like the message box here, we put it by sheer html-code --W!B: (talk) 02:03, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

The reason {{MetaCat}} was added is that categories with that template were suppose to be removed from a set of categories used for auto categorization of images. And we definitely do not want bots assigning Category:CommonsRoot (and 100's of other "meta" categories) to images. Is there a problem with having category circles, or is it just aesthetics? I think there is no need to be rewriting {{MetaCat}} or adding html-code since the purpose of the template was not the message to humans but to bots and to add CommonsRoot to the maintenance category structure which can be used to monitor for incorrectly added images. In case category circles do cause problems and we do not want {{MetaCat}} here than I would suggest to put back {{Categorize}} template. --Jarekt (talk) 12:16, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

{categorize} template will add Category:Categories requiring diffusion, and also gives wrong text: As many pictures and media files as possible should be moved into the right subcategories - we do not place anything inhere besides out main content structure - lets do:

{{Autotranslate|1={{{1|}}}|base=CommonsRoot}}

to {{Autotranslate|1=}} - thus CommonsRoot/en should contain what i wrote: This is the Root Category, the top level node in Commons tree data structure from which every other category is accessible. --W!B: (talk) 05:39, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Root is not a Category

The root-directory is just the (very) first level directory (level 0) in which the first level directories for the first level categories can be found. This isn't a kind of nit-picking. Language is a part of our thinking / knowledge-creating. This is a first step towards a discussion, what a category is to be / how and when it is created. 2. The headline "Category:CommonsRoot" has to be changed to "Node:CommonsRoot" by someone who is entitled to.

3. The other multilingual notices might be adapted, too.
