Merge[edit]

A merge does not make sense since books and texts are different things. --Cwbm (commons) (talk) 08:53, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Oppose Botany books are a sub-category of botany texts, which also include papers, articles, theses, etc. As such Category:Botany books should be a sub-category of Category:Botany texts (as it is). Sub-categories for botany articles, papers, etc can be added when there are enough things to put into them. − Inductiveload (talk) 15:19, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Consolidating Categories[edit]

I would like to consolidate the huge amount of Categories by doing here like I did at Category:Seed catalogs. For example there are so many Cats beginning with Flora. I think they should go in a major group Cat called Botany Flora books or All Flora botany books or Flora botany books. Any opinions on this and other groupings? I have started by placing all Flora Cat's in Category:Flora botany book categories and American (USA) cats in Category:United States (USA) botany book categories also British Cats and Canadian and French botany book categories in an appropriate category.
