Should artworks from the past thought to be fairly accurately depicting the past be included?[edit]
Category:History in art is broader than that.
Maybe these images should go into a new subcategory within this category. Note that mere paintings of a person for example would not fit in there – this category is about past scenes as in earlier life, earlier society, and so on.
The main focus is not specific narrow events but the realistic portrayal of past life – ultimately, this category should only contain images that are thought to be fairly realistic (see e.g. Category:Inaccurate paleoart).
