Moved from Category talk:Aircraft of airlines

Is this a meta-category? In any case the name is very problematic. Orrlingtalk 07:18, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I now got the idea. This is a meta-cat. - Ill-designed, ill-communicated and ill-titled: it apparently comes about to list aircraft-brands sorted by their operator company i.e airlines. I'm tagging it for a re-name, parallelly the "mirror" category being Category:Aircraft by airline might need some clarification to optimize the fluent use of these two cats. Should be category:Aircraft by airline. --Foroa (talk) 07:04, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No, there's already Aircraft by airline Orrlingtalk 10:46, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Don't stack a new mistake on an old one. --Foroa (talk) 13:17, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Here on Wiki you can't name an item with a title that another item already has. We don't keep failures as they are, we fix them; that means this category – being clearly wrong-named and well-discussed here 3 weeks ago, can't remain with its title. If it's agreed that the mirroring category - Aircraft by airline - needs a rename too (to Airlines by aircraft?) then that should be terminated before attempting to rename this-one category into an existing title. The two are mirrors of one-another, and their naming structure will thus in any case be "X by Y" and "Y by X". Orrlingtalk 14:18, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Meta-category[edit]

This is a meta category and should have Template:Hiddencat or equivalent applied to indicate this.
