- I don't care how it is named, I care about naming consistency. Changing the name would require renaming of several subcategories and significant/complex changes in {{Districts of Moscow}} navigation template that is used now in 17 places, but potentially in several hundreds of categories. Moreover, it has to be seen if the districts of the same level city Saint Petersburg has to be renamed too. --Foroa (talk) 07:53, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- Renaming of categories is not difficult. You should ask user:CommonsDelinker/commands and bot renames there. And I do not see problems with template. There are redirects for templates and we shouldnot replace all transclusions.--Anatoliy (talk) 11:15, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- Correct for category renaming, but a list has to be made and submitted.
- Not correct for the navigation template: it points to dsitricts of xxx, so if you want another name for one of the cases, the template has to be adapted.
- If you change the naming convention for one city at federal city level, you have to check if the other cities at that level need not to be changed, in this case potentially Category:Districts of Saint Petersburg. --Foroa (talk) 18:09, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- No, you are not right. Moscow and Saint Petersburg have different top-level administrative divisions. In Moscow they are administrative okrugs (ru: административный округ), and in Saint Petersburg they are raions (or districts in English) (ru:район). See for example: one of okrugs of Moscow: en:Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug, and one of districts of Saint Petersburg en:Moskovsky District, Saint Petersburg.--Anatoliy (talk) 18:50, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
