Deutsch: Die Straße Zur Kanalinsel in Steenbek-Projensdorf (Kiel-Wik) führt im Projensdorfer Gehölz vom Stadtparkweg bis zum Nord-Ostsee-Kanal in der Nähe der Bunkerstation Holtenau. Zur Zeit der Benennung der Straße 1936 befand sich im Nord-Ostsee-Kanal unterhalb der Straße noch eine Insel, die bei der ersten Kanalerweiterung in den Jahren 1907-1914 entstanden war. Dort war auch eine Badeanstalt im Nord-Ostsee-Kanal.
English: Zur Kanalinsel is a street in Steenbek-Projensdorf (district of Kiel Wik) leads in the Projensdorf Wood from the Stadtparkweg to the Kiel Canal near the Holtenau bunker station. At the time the street was named in 1936, there was still an island in the Kiel Canal below the street that was created during the first expansion of the canal between 1907 and 1914. There was also a bathing establishment in the Kiel Canal.
