English: Some single-deck fuel cell buses used for practical evaluation by Transport for London in London, as part of the EU funded HyFLEET:CUTE public transport hydrogen bus project. At 12m long and with 34 seats, they are based on a VDL SB200 chassis and Wrightbus Pulsar body, using a drive train designed by ISE of San Diego, and a fuel-cell manufactured by Ballard Power Systems of British Columbia, Canada. With 6 roof mounted hydrogen fuel tanks, the buses are 3.4m high and have an unladen weight of 11,597kg. The first buses went into service in London in January 2011 on London Buses route RV1, operated by First London (First Capital Ltd.) out of Lea Interchange (LI) garage. Eight buses is the full peak vehicle requirement for route RV1. Fleet numbers and registrations so far are:
