This series consists of photographs. The photographs depict projects undertaken on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, including dams and spillways, particularly the Oglala Dam. Civilian Conservation Corps--Indian Division projects are also shown.

The photographs depict individual Indians, children, and families; Indian dwellings; Indian day schools; Pine Ridge Agency buildings; gardens and farms; Indian and agency land; equipment, supplies, and vehicles; agricultural extension work; timber management; sports teams; and fairs and parades.

The records also include negatives, as well as textual pages, some with captions, from which the photographic prints were removed.
