English: Organized at the University of Washington in Seattle, U.S. Army Base Hospital No. 50 was in France from August 15, 1918, to February 19, 1919 and stationed in Mesves-sur-Loire at the Mesves Medical Centre. The hospital was authorized by the American Red Cross in October 1917, with the proviso that Seattle had to raise the funds itself.
