English: The Théâtre Italien, an opera company in Paris that presented opera in Italian (or other non-French languages) in a succession of theatres from 1801 to 1878. The company used a variety of official names during this period, including Opera Buffa, Opera Seria e Buffa, Théâtre Royal Italien et Anglais, Théâtre Impérial Italien, and was also popularly known as 'Bouffons' and 'Théâtre des Italiens'.
