English: The Mária Terézia monument in Bratislava is the work of János Fadrusz. The statue arrived in Bratislava in the fall of C.E.1896, and was unveiled on May 16, C.E.1897. On October 26-27, C.E.1921, a group of Czechoslovak legionnaires blinded under the cover of night knocked it down and smashed it to pieces beyond recognition. A part of the fragments of the monument went to the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest.

A szobor 1896 őszén érkezett meg Pozsonyba, leleplezésére 1897. május 16-án került sor.
1921. október 26-27-én az éjszaka leple alatt elvakult csehszlovák légiósok egy csoportja ledöntötte és a felismerhetetlenségig darabokra zúzta. Az emlékmű töredékeinek egy része a budapesti Szépművészeti Múzeumba került.
