English: The South Staffordshire Tramways Generating Station, dating from 1892. The South Staffordshire Tramway Company had about 23 miles of track linking Darlaston, Wednesbury, West Bromwich, Handsworth, Great Bridge, Dudley Port, Dudley, Walsall, and Bloxwich. the company was dissolved on 31 March 1924, with the services split between Birmingham Corporation Tramways, Wolverhampton District Electric Tramways Company, and the Dudley, Stourbridge and District Electric Traction Company from the next day. Trams disappeared from Walsall in the 1930s. This 1892 red-brick building was sadly painted, some time after 2007.
