Site barriers are panels of temporary anti-climb fencing, typically of a round tubing outer framework supporting an internal welded wire mesh screen. The panels can be galvanized or polyester coated, are usually up to 3.5m wide and 2m high, and commonly stand with the use of added steel base-plates, or plastic or concrete block footings. They are locked together with coupler clamps to form a fence run. Fence panels can remain unclad, or can be horded with plastic sheeting or reduced-wind-resistant plastic mesh sometimes with logo idents or pictorial motifs. The Heras brand name has become a synonymous term for this type of fencing.
