The Shankaragaurishvara temple is a 9th-century shrines complex in Pattan dedicated to Shiva. It is about 40 kilometers northwest of Srinagar. Now in ruins, it was also surrounded by a colonnaded peristyle, most of which remains unexcavated. The standing sanctum structure has a square plan and the mandapa has some Hindu artwork. The Shankaragaurishvara mandir is mentioned in Kalhana's Rajatarangini.
